SIMON P. KENNEDY
Mr. Kennedy has practiced law in Arizona since 2005. He is admitted to both the State Bar of Arizona and the United States District Court of Arizona. He has vast experience in civil litigation, criminal defense, and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Kennedy has the unique experience, rare among attorneys, of having represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury litigation. He has worked closely with insurance adjusters in defending claims against insureds and has learned first hand how insurance companies value claims and, more importantly, how insurance companies value claims differently when the plaintiff is and is not represented by an attorney. As a sole practitioner, Mr. Kennedy has helped defend numerous clients charged with DUI, possession of drugs, and other various misdemeanor and felony matters. In an effort to always provide measurable assistance to our clients, Mr. Kennedy also helps struggling families and individuals get a fresh start in their lives by seeking relief under the US Bankruptcy Code.
Born in Phoenix and raised in Mesa, Mr. Kennedy remembers when the cities were connected by large tracts of farm land and only minimal roads. In 2004, after completing law school, Mr. Kennedy returned to the Phoenix area to begin his legal career. Today, Mr. Kennedy’s firm is a leading firm providing services in Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, and Bankruptcy and proudly represents clients in Phoenix, Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Queen Creek, Glendale, Avondale, Tolleson, and Peoria.
Mr. Kennedy graduated from Indiana University School of Law in December 2004. He focused much of his studies in tort law and insurance issues. He was a Research Assistant for the Dean of the Law School where he was tasked with updating and annotating the Dean’s legal treatise, Australian Insurance Law. Moreover, Mr. Kennedy researched, prepared and presented a seminar paper challenging President George W. Bush’s plan to cap non-economic losses (pain and suffering) in medical malpractice cases. The paper offered an alternative framework to help curb rising costs of health care, but still preserve the Plaintiff’s right to receive full amount of pain and suffering damages in medical malpractice cases.

Prior to law school, Mr. Kennedy was a magna cum laude graduate student at Arizona State University and studied Linguistics. In August of 2000, Mr. Kennedy received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University’s Barrett Honor’s College and graduated magna cum laude. In that program, Mr. Kennedy studied American and English literature and wrote his graduate paper on Jack Kerouac’s On the Road.
In his free time, Mr. Kennedy enjoys reading, music, movies, helping his 4 year old son learn how to ride his bike, sound out words, work on reading and writing, and of course, helping him learn how to sit through movies quietly.
