About Us

Attorney Simon Kennedy started this law firm in January of 2009. Prior to opening this east valley firm, Mr. Kennedy managed his own law office before taking a position with GEICO Staff Counsel where he defended numerous GEICO insureds involved in personal injury litigation. Most recently, Mr. Kennedy was an associate attorney at Hastings and Hastings, PC, representing clients injured in motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and premise liability type cases. With experience in civil litigation, negotiation, criminal defense, and client needs, Mr. Kennedy brings several years of quality client advocacy to this firm and knows first hand that client satisfaction comes first.

Born in Phoenix and raised in Mesa, Mr. Kennedy remembers when the cities were connected by large tracts of farm land and only minimal roads. In 2004, after completing law school, Mr. Kennedy returned to the Phoenix area to begin his legal career. Today, Mr. Kennedy's firm provides legal services in personal injury, criminal defense, and family law and his office proudly handles cases from all over the Phoenix area, but with a special concentration in Mesa, Gilbert, Queen Creek and Chandler.

Mr. Kennedy is a graduate of Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. He graduated in December 2004 and focused much of his education in tort law and insurance issues. His seminar paper, Bush's Plan to Limit Medical Malpractice Liability: Does Capping Non-Economic Losses Improve Health Care and Lower Costs? discussed whether statutory caps on pain and suffering would, in fact, improve health care and lower costs. Rather, it was found that these caps would merely provide greater regularity in the malpractice insurance business and would do little to improve health care or lower medical costs and malpractice claims. Mr. Kennedy argues that new ethical guidelines for physicians and an alternative dispute process governed by both physicians and attorneys would speed up the claims process, ensure that injured patients receive fair compensation, and would provide the necessary relief on an overloaded tort system. Once these factors are taken into consideration, the goal of improving health care and lowering costs would be truly within reach.

Prior to law school, Mr. Kennedy was a magna cum laude graduate student at Arizona State University and studied Linguistics. In August of 2000, Mr. Kennedy received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University's Barrett Honor's College and graduated magna cum laude. In that program, Mr. Kennedy studied American and English literature and wrote his graduate paper on Jack Kerouac's On the Road.

In his free time, Mr. Kennedy likes to spend time with his family, which includes 5 kids and 3 dogs. Mr. Kennedy also enjoys playing guitar, going to concerts and sporting events, reading about American history, and listening to his youngest kids try to out do each other in their story telling.
